Project description

Senegal relies heavily on imports to meet national demand for milk and dairy products. In 2023, imports reached 105,857 tons, valued at more than 126 billion FCFA. It is therefore crucial to reduce the country’s dependence on imported dairy products by increasing the productivity of dairy livestock systems, improving milk processing and value addition, and strengthening marketing channels.
