Project description
The Special Urban Development and Expansion Program for Touba Metropolis aims to equip the city of Touba with a modern, sustainable, and inclusive urban development framework to strengthen its attractiveness. The program is built on several strategic pillars, including the finalization of Touba’s strategic urban development plan and reinforcement of planning documents to guide long-term development. It also includes the creation of integrated development zones (ZAC) and the restructuring of precarious neighborhoods in identified areas.

Overall Objective :
- Strengthen the attractiveness of the city of Touba by equipping it with a modern, sustainable, and inclusive urban development framework.
Specific Objectives :
- Finalize the strategic urban planning framework to address urban issues and improve access andinternal mobility.
- Develop an urban hub to channel urbanization and create attractive activity zones.
- Prepare area development plans.
- Create ZACs to increase the housing supply.
- Restructure precarious neighborhoods to combat flooding and improve the living environment.
