Project description

The project aims to open up production zones in support of the National Local Development Program (PNDL). It operates in 76 Local Authorities across 12 regions of Senegal: Thiès, Louga, Kaolack, Kolda, Matam, Kaffrine, Fatick, Diourbel, Saint-Louis, Tambacounda, Sédhiou, and Kédougou.

Overall Objective :

Contribute to strong, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth.

Specific Objectives :

Improve accessibility to production zones and access to agricultural markets.
Develop agricultural value chains for young people and women.
Strengthen access to basic socio-economic services for sustainable territorial development.
Enhance the capacities of territorial actors.

Expected results

58,000 households (approx. 580,000 people) benefit, including 27,000 farming households, 6,000 livestock breeders, and 20,000 households from local organizations.
Women (36%) and young people (26%) represent 52% of beneficiaries.
1,000 MSMEs are created or consolidated, generating over 22,000 jobs, including 3,500 permanent jobs (60% women, 30% youth).
