Project description
The value chain approach enables local authorities and other territorial actors to define a shared vision of local economic development and address challenges within a market-oriented framework. It aims to build a coordinated and systemic process to enhance territorial potential and generate sustainable employment and wealth. It considers interactions between value chains and actors within and across territories, operating through the following levers: Strengthening territorial economic facilitation, youth integration, and women's economic empowerment. Developing infrastructure and equipment that support value chain development.

Overall Objective :
- Contribute to creating and consolidating decent and sustainable jobs for youth and women through local authorities.
Specific Objectives :
- Strengthen the capacities of local authorities to promote sustainable employment within growth-driving value chains.
- Develop infrastructure and equipment to support targeted value chains.
Expected results
- 2,100 additional jobs created for youth and women in targeted value chains.
- Local authority revenues increase by 5%.
- Revenues of actors in targeted value chains increase by 35%.
- 1,000 youth-led MSMEs promoted or created in targeted value chains.
