Project description
With a production of more than 450,000 tonnes per year, Senegal is the largest salt producer in West Africa. The project aims to strengthen the transformation and industrial valorisation of salt in Senegal, particularly in the regions of Fatick, Kaolack and Saint-Louis, which possess significant
saline resources. Currently, a large share of the salt is marketed in raw form, and only 25% of the salt produced and consumed in Senegal has an adequate iodine content.
