Project description

The project to implement the “Health in All Public Policies” (HiAP) approach aligns with the objectives set in the National Health and Social Development Plan (PNDSS) 2019–2028. This plan is the sectoral translation of Senegal’s National Transformation Agenda (2050), the unified reference framework for all national development policies, and constitutes a key element for achieving universal health coverage (UHC).

Overall Objective:

Improve population health through health promotion by acting on the determinants of health.

Specific Objectives:

Ensure the implementation of ministerial terms of reference on the HiAP approach.
Ensure the functionality of multisectoral coordination bodies at all levels.
Evaluate the implementation of HiAP within ministries.

Expected results

The various activities outlined in the terms of reference are carried out.
Multisectoral coordination bodies meet regularly.
Implementation of HiAP within ministries is evaluated.
