Project description

The project contributes to the elimination of preventable maternal, neonatal, and under-five deaths and strengthens the management of malnutrition among children aged 0 to 59 months. Its main objective is to reduce maternal, neonatal, and under-five morbidity and mortality by 2029.

Overall Objective:

  • Contribute to the reduction of maternal, neonatal, and under-five morbidity and mortality by 2029.

Specific Objectives:

  • Reduce by at least 90% preventable maternal deaths linked to postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, and eclampsia.
  • Reduce neonatal mortality to 13.5‰ live births.
  • Contribute to eliminating preventable deaths among children aged 1 to 59 months.
  • Contribute to reducing the prevalence of malnutrition (acute malnutrition, stunting).

Expected results

  • Maternal deaths linked to postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, and eclampsia are reduced by at least 90%.
  • Neonatal mortality is reduced to 13.5‰ live births.
  • Under-five mortality is reduced among children aged 1 to 59 months.
  • The prevalence of malnutrition is reduced.
