Project description

Despite strong growth following the introduction of targeted restrictions on imports of poultry meat, table eggs, and used poultry equipment, the local poultry value chain is still not competitive. It remains dependent on imports of hatching eggs needed for chick production, as well as imported raw materials for feed. The project aims to:

  • Establish breeder farms to reduce the deficit in hatching eggs;
  • Increase the productivity of rural poultry farms;
  • Improve the competitiveness of semi-industrial and industrial poultry farming.
