Project description

The Daara Atelier project is an innovative initiative designed to strengthen apprenticeship as a driver of economic and social development. It specifically targets talibés aged 15 to 30, offering them access to apprenticeship-based training that complies with recognised standards. The project
places particular emphasis on the inclusion of marginalised youth, with special attention to girls(30% of beneficiaries).

General Objective

  • Promote the professional integration of talibés from traditional Daara

Specific Objectives

  • Enrol 15,000 young talibés (aged 15–30) in a structured apprenticeship training system
  • Ensure that 80% of trained talibés obtain certification, including 30% girls
  • Support 70% of certified talibés in accessing employment
  • Ensure effective project governance

Expected results

  • 15,000 young talibés gain access to qualifying training
  • 80% of trained talibés obtain certification
  • 70% of graduates integrate the labour market
  • A sustainable apprenticeship training system is institutionalised
