Project description

This project aims to promote the professional integration of young people aged 15 to 35 with low or no qualifications through a High Labor-Intensity (HIMO) approach. It is based on the implementation of investment programs within municipalities to generate decent jobs while supporting local socio-economic development. The project also seeks to establish an enabling institutional and regulatory framework and includes training mechanisms to strengthen the employability of young people and women, particularly in construction and green jobs.

General Objective :

  • Create 50,000 decent jobs for young people and women with low or no qualifications by optimizing the HIMO approach in municipal investment programs.

Specific Objectives :

  • Support reforms to better integrate the HIMO approach within the institutional and regulatory environment.
  • Create 30,000 jobs for young people and women with low or no qualifications through municipal investment programs.

Expected results

  • The institutional environment is strengthened and becomes conducive to designing and implementing HIMO projects in municipalities.
  • 30,000 jobs are created for young people and women with low or no qualifications through municipal investment programs.
