Project description

The programme aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels in the transport sector and promote environmentally friendly modes of transport. Its components include: PAMUS Dakar, PAMUS Territorial Hubs, Pilot Electric Bus Project, Biofuel production project for Dakar urban transport, and the MOVE and SMOVE projects.

General Objective:

Improve the use of active, sustainable and ecological transport modes.

Specific Objectives:

Enhance urban mobility planning
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption
Promote low-emission and non-polluting active modes
Improve air quality and increase efficiency in the transport sector

Expected results

Production units of 2.9 million m3 of methane/year (32,000 m3 MWH equivalent) developed to supply the future gas bus network
Improved travel conditions for the population
Reduced externalities from land transport
Reduced greenhouse gas emissions and fossil energy consumption
