Project description

The National Urban Planning Program aims to provide each local authority, or groups of them, with a forward-looking vision supported by appropriate urban planning framework documents, enabling sustainable and well-managed territorial development.

Overall Objective :

Promote a coherent land-use planning and territorial development policy.

Specific Objectives :

Increase nationwide coverage of urban planning documents.
Establish a reference document identifying needs for basic services and infrastructure supporting economic activities.
Support local authorities in using planning documents to improve management of urban development projects.

Expected results

Municipalities become more attractive through infrastructure and facilities developed according to planning reference documents.
Local authorities are supported in developing, implementing, and evaluating urban planning documents.
