Project description

The National Laboratory of Analysis and Control (LANAC) is responsible for quality control of food and non-food products at the stages of production, marketing, import and export. To fully carry out its mission, LANAC must be relocated, modernised, and decentralised across the different agropoles.

Overall Objective

Build an International Centre of Excellence for the Control of Food and Non-Food Products in
Dakar and decentralise LANAC across the different agropoles.

Specific Objectives

Conduct sensory, physical, chemical, physico-chemical and microbiological analyses of food and
non-food products
Certify food and non-food products for export and ensure the quality of imported products

Expected results

Consumer products are available in sufficient quantity and quality
Population health is improved, contributing to quality human capital
Senegalese products are competitive on local and international markets
Local actors are supported in promoting their products with respect to sustainable development
LANAC is recognised as a reference laboratory at national and subregional levels
