Project description
The project aims to strengthen research infrastructures in Senegal by establishing a modern environment compliant with international standards, in order to address constraints related to the lack of equipment. It provides researchers with the necessary resources to produce knowledge and solutions adapted to the needs of populations and economic and social actors. With cutting-edge tools such as a supercomputer and electronic microscopes, it also aims to develop a nuclear research project covering key areas such as health, food security, and natural resource management. Led by the Cité du Savoir in Diamniadio, this project reflects a commitment to modernising and pooling scientific infrastructures.

General Objective
- Contribute to developing the capacities of Senegal’s research and innovation ecosystem.
Specific Objectives
- Establish research platforms in areas such as digital technology, agriculture, health, etc.
- Implement scientific and technological production and development programmes
- Train, support, and advise incubators and project holders involved in creating innovative
companies - Create synergy between researchers, companies, and decision-makers to better impact the
country’s economy

- A synergy of actors is created around national research objectives
- Senegal has high-level platforms and becomes attractive for national and international researchers
- Support, training, and advisory mechanisms for innovative entrepreneurs are operational
