Project description
The project aims to develop the industrial processing of mango and cashew in Senegal to optimise added value and strengthen competitiveness in national and international markets. Most production is currently exported raw or lost due to insufficient processing capacity. The objective is to install
industrial units capable of processing 100,000 tonnes of mangoes and 40,000 tonnes of cashew nuts per year.

General Objective
- Develop the industrial processing of mango and cashew.
Specific Objectives
- Install industrial units capable of processing 110,000 tonnes of mangoes and 40,000 tonnes of
cashew nuts per year . - Promote cashew valorisation by producing 15,000 tonnes of premium cashew kernels.
- Create 5,000 direct jobs and 15,000 indirect jobs.
Expected results
- Processing capacity reaches 150,000 tonnes per year
- Producers’ incomes are improved
- At least 50,000 tonnes of mango-based products and 15,000 tonnes of cashew kernels are produced annually
- A competitive agro-industrial value chain is developed
