Project description
The redesign and upgrade of the BAAC is a World Bank-funded project under the PCZA. It aims to establish a harmonised system for the administration and management of road accident data. All stakeholders involved in accident data collection and processing are part of the process
(Gendarmerie, Police, Fire Brigade, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Automobile Guarantee Fund, etc.).

Overall Objective
- Establish a harmonised central system for managing road accident data.
Specific Objectives
- Diagnose existing systems for collecting, processing, analysing and disseminating data.
- Identify all actors providing quantitative information on road safety and accidents.
- Formulate strategic recommendations to promote the role of ANASER.
- Develop a harmonised and documented collection tool for stakeholders.
Expected results
- A diagnostic status report is produced
- Actors providing quantified accident information are identified
- An institutional and organisational framework for road safety stakeholders is established
- A harmonised accident data collection system is deployed
