Project description
The space project aims to develop a national space ecosystem. It includes the manufacturing and operation of satellites, the establishment of adapted infrastructures (Assembly, Integration and Testing Centre – MAIT), and the training of qualified human resources. These satellites provide precise data for key sectors such as maritime security, agriculture, land-use planning, and the management of natural resources, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

General Objective
- Develop the emergence of a national space ecosystem to make it a driver of economic and social
development
Specific Objectives
- Ensure the availability of competent and qualified human resources in the field of space
- Establish infrastructures through the construction of a MAIT centre for satellite manufacturing and
operation - Establish an institutional and legal framework for the space sector
- Promote an attractive environment for the emergence of startups and the establishment of
multinational companies in the space field

- Competent and qualified human resources in the space field are available in Senegal
- The MAIT centre for satellite manufacturing and operation is established
- An institutional and legal framework for the development of the space sector is defined
