Project description
The project aims to improve access to care and the quality of medical services. It includes the construction of several major health facilities such as Aristide Le Dantec Hospital (660 beds), a 300-bed hospital in Tivaouane, a National Oncology Center in Diamniadio (108 beds), Saint-Louis University Hospital, the Level-3 Hospital of Tivaouane, a Covid vaccine unit (Madiba), and a mother-and-child center in Diamniadio. It also provides for the construction of health centers, health posts, hygiene brigades, a national rheumatology institute, the equipment of basic and reference health structures, and maintenance of infrastructures and equipment. A total of 18,947 health workers will be recruited by 2029.
