Project description

West Agropole aims to promote agro-industry by leveraging agro-sylvo-pastoral and fishery value chains. The Agropole industrial parks support the structural transformation of the economy through strengthened food sovereignty, reduced trade deficit, territorial equity, and decent employment
creation.

General Objective

Increase the added value of agricultural products and reduce dependence on imported agri-food
products.

Specific Objectives:

Create favourable conditions for private investment in agro-industrial processing and support
services.
Strengthen the capacities of value chain actors to increase agricultural productivity sustainably.

Expected results

Increased household incomes in the three municipalities
3,000 direct jobs and 8,000 indirect jobs created
Over €27 million in annual income generated
Improved regional food self-sufficiency
