Project description

For Senegal, which has the honor of hosting the Youth Olympic Games (YOJ) for the first time in Africa, the event represents a major challenge and an exceptional opportunity to increase its visibility, promote its tourism offer, and strengthen its diplomatic positioning. It also highlights artisanal, sporting, artistic, and culinary know-how while generating the renovation and construction of new sports and tourism infrastructures.

Overall Objective:

Showcase Senegalese excellence and know-how to create impact and a legacy for all.

Specific Objectives:

Promote artisanal, artistic, and culinary know-how.
Create new sports and tourism infrastructures.
Develop tourist houses in Dakar, Diamniadio, and Saly.
Develop employment opportunities for young people.

The destination Senegal is promoted through the YOJ.
The attractiveness of the destination is strengthened.
Effective communication on the event and the destination is ensured.
