Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko officially inaugurated the Steering Committee tasked with finalizing the decentralization and territorial cluster reform projects on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Placed under the authority of the Prime Minister, this committee reflects the cross-cutting nature of territorial issues and demonstrates the Government’s commitment to making territorial clusters a genuine driver of systemic transformation.

Its mission is to ensure the overall strategic framework for the reform process, to validate the guidelines, action plans, and public policy documents. It is also responsible for resolving inter-ministerial issues, removing structural obstacles, and reviewing and approving the final proposals resulting from the work of the technical committee.
