Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko chaired the meeting of the Economic and Social Recovery Plan (PRES) Implementation Committee on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the President Mamadou Dia Administrative Building. This important meeting highlighted the significant results that will allow for a better response to the expectations of the Senegalese people.

During this session, the Head of Government and the Committee members reviewed the initial actions of the PRES, officially launched on August 1, 2025. The plan aims to reorient the economy, strengthen national sovereignty, and promote social equity. According to the Prime Minister, the results achieved so far “will allow for a better response to the expectations of the Senegalese people”: mobilizing domestic resources, streamlining public spending, and implementing structural reform are among the levers activated.
