Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates on December 10, 2025, led by His Excellency Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zedouyi, Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates. This visit follows the working and friendship visit the Prime Minister made to the UAE last September.

The Emirati delegation, composed of high-ranking government officials, directors general, and investors, will meet with their Senegalese counterparts in the areas of Finance, Mines, Energy, Oil and Gas, Telecommunications and Digital Technology, and Agriculture.

This working day will be dedicated to projects within the National Agenda 2050 related to the following themes: energy, mines, health and pharmaceuticals, social housing, digital technology, agriculture, and governance and finance.

Strong involvement from the ministers responsible for these sectors is expected. The Minister of Finance and Budget is coordinating the visit.
